In a major partnership move Forest Arts has teamed up with music curriculum online specialists Charanga to sponsor the musical school package for all our primary schools in Walsall.
Charanga Musical School is the most significant new primary music resource for a decade. It’s a living cloud-based resource that brings together great music and the latest educational technology. It supports all aspects of music in school including the new music curriculum, as well as providing children and their families with opportunities to continue learning and exploring music at home through Music World.
This partnership provides incentives for schools to buy into the system and gain access to a vast range of online resources including the free training of staff which takes place centrally at Forest Arts Centre.
During the initial stages of this partnership Forest Arts held ‘insight’ meetings for teachers with responsibility for, or interest in, music for their school. With over 30 schools involved this proved to be the springboard from which the Charanga initiative developed.
The work with these primary school music enthusiasts has already produced more CPD and training sessions, and will continue to do so as the group continues to develop.
